Interior BOQ format, free in Excel.
Every item with its material and finish, the trade that does it, and a quantity worked out from length and breadth. A Summary tab totals each trade and each room.
Free sample and blank sheet. No sign-up. Excel and Google Sheets.
A total per trade for your contractor, per room for your client.
The Summary tab adds the BOQ up two ways. Your carpenter sees the carpentry total without the granite in it, and your client sees what the kitchen costs without reading every line.
- Twelve trades ready to fill, from civil and false ceiling to soft furnishing
- Rooms you rename — the 2BHK set is a start, not a rule
Specified once, so every contractor prices the same thing.
A BOQ only helps if it's specific. Each line has room for the material, finish and hardware, so when two carpenters price it, both are pricing 18 mm BWP ply with soft-close hinges, not just “ply”.
- Quantity helper — length × breadth × number, worked out, not typed
- Remarks — what a rate includes, and what it doesn't

Ready for a 2BHK, and for the next one.
Four sheets in one file: the Sharma Residence BOQ and its Summary, filled in, and a blank BOQ with a Summary of its own.
Twelve trades
Civil, false ceiling, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and modular, stone and countertops, painting and polish, flooring and tiling, loose furniture, appliances, soft furnishing, and site and cleaning.
Rooms of a 2BHK
Living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and the balcony, eight lines each, to rename or leave empty.
GST once, on the total
CGST and SGST or IGST from one dropdown, the same way the quotation format does it.
Serial numbers that count themselves
Numbered by formula across every room, so a line left empty never leaves a gap.
Remarks on every line
What a rate includes, who supplies the material, and anything the contractor should know.
Ready to print
A4 landscape, fitted to the width, with the column heads on every page and the totals locked.

What is a BOQ in interior design?
A bill of quantities: every item of work, room by room, with its specification, quantity and rate. Contractors price it, and you check their prices against it.
What's the difference between a BOQ and a quotation?
A BOQ lists the work so it can be priced. A quotation is what your client receives: the price, your fee and the payment terms. The quotation format is a separate free sheet.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload it to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets: the quantities, the totals and the Summary work there, as they do in Excel and Numbers.
Can I add my own trades or rooms?
Rooms, yes: rename them, or leave the lines you don't need empty. Twelve trades come ready, from civil to site cleaning; to add one, unprotect the sheet (there's no password), add it to the trade list and give it a row on the Summary.
Can GST be worked out per line instead?
This sheet adds GST once, on the total, as CGST and SGST or IGST. If different lines need different rates, add a GST column; the Summary still adds up the amounts before tax.
Is it free?
Yes. Download it, change it, and use it on every project. There's no sign-up and no email to give.
