What is a normal interior design fee in India?
It varies by city, scope and studio, and we don't publish an average we can't source. Start from your own rate, and compare it with what studios near you charge.
Carpet area or built-up area?
Whichever you charge on; say which on the quotation. The calculator uses the number you enter.
Does the percentage include furniture and appliances?
It's a percentage of whatever you count as the cost of the work. Say on the quotation whether furniture and appliances are in it, so your client knows what the percentage is of.
Is GST charged on the design fee?
If you're GST-registered, GST usually appears on the fee as it does on the work: CGST and SGST in your state, IGST across states. Check the rate for your studio with your CA.
Is anything I type saved?
