Interior design quotation format, free in Excel.
Room by room, each line priced per sq ft, per piece or as a lump sum, with GST split for your client's state, your design fee and a payment schedule.
Free sample and blank sheet. No sign-up. Excel and Google Sheets.
Your fee, and when it's paid.
One design fee line, priced per sq ft, as a percentage of the work or as a lump sum, with a payment schedule under it. Name your stages, type a percentage against each, and the amounts work out from the fee.
Want to offer per sq ft, a lump sum and a percentage side by side, and let your client pick one? That's what Decorics does.
See how a Decorics quotation does itIn the blank sheet the percentages start empty. Studios split them differently, and there's no standard worth copying.
CGST and SGST, or IGST, from one dropdown.
Choose where your client's site is. In your own state the sheet splits GST into CGST 9% and SGST 9%; in another state it shows IGST 18%; not registered yet, and the tax lines leave the total.
The sheet shows how GST appears on a quotation, not which rate your work attracts. Check that with your CA.

A4, fitted to the width, with the column heads on every page. Totals are locked, so a stray keystroke can't overwrite a formula.
Where the sheet stops.
It's a good format. It's still a file, and a file can't do these.
| In the sheet | In Decorics | |
|---|---|---|
| Sending it | You attach a file. Your client downloads it and zooms in on a phone. | A link that opens as a page on their phone, with a PDF in the same design. |
| Your rates | Retyped in every new file, or copied from last month's and checked by eye. | Typed once in a rate library. Each room arrives with its lines and rates. |
| Your fee | One fee line. | Per sq ft, a lump sum and a percentage side by side. Your client picks one. |
| Getting paid | Nothing records who has paid what. | Invoices from the payment stages, a receipt for every payment, and a statement per client. |

Is the format really free?
Yes. Download it, change it, and use it for every client. There's no sign-up and no email to give.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload it to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets: the totals, the GST choice and the amount in words work there, as they do in Excel and Numbers.
Which GST rate does it use?
18%, as CGST 9% and SGST 9% when your client's site is in your state, or IGST 18% when it's in another. The rate is a cell you can change: rates depend on the work, so check yours with your CA.
Should I charge per sq ft, a percentage or a lump sum?
Each suits a different client. A fee per sq ft grows with the area, a percentage grows with the cost of the work, and a lump sum doesn't move. The sheet takes whichever you choose, and the free fee calculator works out all three from your own numbers.
Can I put my logo on it?
Yes. There's a box for it at the top right of the sheet. Paste your logo over it, and it prints with the page.
What does Decorics do that the sheet doesn't?
It sends the quotation as a link your client opens on their phone, keeps your rates in one library, offers three fees side by side for your client to pick, and raises invoices from the payment stages, with a receipt for every payment.
The sheet adds up. Decorics sends it.
The same rooms and rates, with three fees side by side, sent as a link your client opens. Thirty days of Pro start the moment you sign up.
